A New Improved Greener Bush

A New, Improved, Greener Bush?

This week, President Bush took a new stance on environmental conservation--kind of. The president says he's committed to being "actively involved" in a post-Kyoto agreement on reducing carbon emissions worldwide.

With his approval ratings at dismal lows, it looks like President Bush would like to win over the hearts and minds of his tree-hugging critics. We've all seen him clearing brush down on the ranch, but the President has a long and storied history of ignoring matters of the environment. Nonetheless, President Bush has set a goal of the end of 2008 for this new international green treaty. Luckily he'll be out of office by then.
