Bibi Reveals Obama's Hypocrisy

By Rick Jensen

This is not the first time a U.S. President has worked to defeat a foreign leader. But it is extremely unusual that President Obama worked so hard to unseat the leader of a strong alley.

While Obama railed against the Republicans inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak on behalf of his country's desire to exist, allies of the President were already in Israel actively campaigning to defeat Netanyahu in the March 17 election.

This is why Mr. Obama's argument against inviting Bibi to the U.S. is out-loud laughable.

"I'm declining to meet with him simply because our general policy is we don't meet with any world leader two weeks before their election," Obama said a CNN interview. "I think that's inappropriate, and that's true with some of our closest allies."

However, Mr. Obama's closest campaign organizers were inside Israel for months mounting an Obama-style election campaign designed to defeat the Prime Minister.

In February, the New York Times reported:

"Jeremy Bird, the architect of the grassroots and online organizing efforts that powered President Obama's presidential campaigns from Chicago, is advising a similar operation in Tel Aviv. But this time it is focused on ousting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel. His consulting work for the group V15 — an independent Israeli organization that does not support specific candidates but is campaigning to replace Israel's current government..."

In an interview with KleinOnline at V15's campaign headquarters in Tel Aviv, the group's founder, Nimrod Dweck, conceded that Israelis lack organizing skills and that Bird and his firm have been central to divining V15's field operations battle plan.

"Israeli political campaigns are relatively unsophisticated compared to the political organizing machines that were the hallmarks of Obama's 2008 and 2012 presidential bids. Bird's field tactics, if deployed here in full force, have the potential to revolutionize the Israeli left's organizing abilities."

"Israelis don't know how to run field (operations) as Americans (do), and that was the major contribution of Jeremy's team," Dweck said.

Bird has provided "very professional help about how to organize, manage people, how to go door-to-door, how to talk to people on the street."

Politico.com's "Playbook" reports the numbers Bird and his team posted for Obama's 2012 campaign are impressive: "10,000 neighborhood team leaders, 30,000 core team members and 2 million volunteers."

Republicans and Democrats have both been involved in Israeli politics for years.Recently, an aide to Rand Paul flew out to offer advice to Netanyahu.

What makes this different is the President's stunning hypocritical moaning that meeting with Netanyahu weeks before the election would be "inappropriate" at the same time his former national field director was in Israel failing desperately to defeat Bibi.

You may also recall President Obama ignoring the pleas of young Iranians begging for his support during the Green Revolution against the repressive Islamic government.

He said, "..it's not productive, given the history of U.S.-Iranian relations, to be seen as meddling — the U.S. President meddling in Iranian elections."

The President can't meddle in Iranian affairs but his team has the green light to unseat the Israeli Prime Minister.

It makes you wonder just who Obama considers "some of our closest allies."
