Good or bad economy? Top 10 cartoons of the week

It’s not exactly news we’re a divided country, but we can’t even agree on whether our economy is doing well or not.

On the one hand, there’s been consistent job growth since Joe Biden took over as president, with the pace increasing last year. In fact, the U.S. experienced higher economic growth last year than any other country in the G7, which includes Japan, Canada, France, and the United Kingdom.

On the flip side, inflation is still a pesky nuisance, with everything from groceries to home prices remaining stubbornly high. As a result, interest rates also remain high, making it harder and more expensive for Americans to borrow to buy a home or a new car.

As Chris Weyant warned in his popular cartoon this week, good luck seeking enlightenment.
